| No need for any shady underhanded replies. I was merely trying to offer assistance and I clearly stated that I did not know and that I was only assuming. What I was referring to though was the Harlem Renaissance and how this movement seemed more public African-American displays of culture and voice. If I am wrong in my assumption then I am wrong, but surely there is a much more subtle way to telling me that than "get a clue". I would actually appreciate if you enlightened me. |

| I apologize. I did use a shady underhanded reply and because you now show that you have the gift of gab. I will enlighten you. Poetry, and discussions of it, have a long history. Early attempts to define poetry, such as Aristotle's Poetics, focused on the uses of speech in rhetoric, drama, song and comedy. Later attempts concentrated on features such as repetition, verse form and rhyme, and emphasised the aesthetics which distinguish poetry from prose. I should not have said "get a clue." |
