Absence of belief is not belief in absence. This is the case for both agnostics and atheists. Agnostics are atheists.

Where I live, lots of people play a game in which they attempt to toss bags full of corn meal through holes in raised plywood platforms. We used to call this game Baggo. Much to my chagrin, however, most people are now calling it Cornhole. Cornhole is a noun, but it's also a verb. It means "to have anal sex." So it's very disturbing when your mom says, "Want to play Cornhole," and you don't know she's talking about Baggo.
